ELECT JIM HIGGINS FIRST WARD COMMISSIONER

Welcome, Citizens of Radnor Township

Dear Neighbors,

My name is Jim Higgins and I am running for election as Radnor Township Commissioner, First Ward.  I have been a resident of Chestnut Lane, Wayne, for 30 years.  My wife Ida-Marie and I have raised four children here and feel strongly that Radnor Township needs to be preserved as a special place to live.

I am privileged to be running for Commissioner and, if elected, I will represent all people with honesty, integrity and responsiveness.  I want to see changes in our government.  We must find a way of controlling large tax increases, reducing the cost of government in Radnor and ensuring that all our actions are done openly and in accordance with law.

I worked with many of you in recent years in raising awareness of the deterioration of the Wayne Station.  Together, we restored much of it to its former condition and placed it on the National Register of Historic Places.

I served Radnor as Commissioner previously, from 1984-1992, and achieved a number of things for the betterment of the township; you can read about them elsewhere on this website.  When in office, I always sought to cooperate with my fellow elected officials, regardless of party, for the good of our town.

I will be campaigning hard between now and November with the goal of visiting every household to learn of the concerns you have as taxpayers, homeowners, parents and citizens.

Sincerely,

James C. Higgins
